Privacy Policy

Effective 11th August 2026

1. Who we are

Tech Tees operates techtees.co. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Tech Tees.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Contact: serviceteam@techtees.co

2. What we collect

You give us: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, order details, and anything you write to us. We also record your marketing preferences.

Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar technical data via cookies and analytics.

We never see your card details. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments and PayPal. Your card number is never stored on or transmitted through our systems.

3. Why we collect it

  • To process, produce and deliver your order
  • To contact you about your order and answer your questions
  • To send marketing emails, if you've opted in — every one has an unsubscribe link
  • To measure and improve how the site and our advertising perform
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share only what's needed, with:

Shopify Inc. — everything you enter at checkout, for store hosting, checkout and payment processing. Policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy

Printify, Inc. and its print partners — your name, delivery address and order details, passed to the print facility producing your item. Policy: printify.com/privacy-policy

Meta Platforms — website activity via the Meta Pixel, for advertising measurement. Policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy

Google — website analytics data. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

PayPal — payment details, if you pay by PayPal. Policy: paypal.com/au/legalhub/privacy-full

Shipping carriers — name, delivery address and contact number, for delivery and tracking.

Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read them.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or as part of a business sale or restructure.

5. Sending data overseas

Shopify Inc. is incorporated in Canada and Printify, Inc. in the United States. Meta, Google and PayPal store data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Your delivery details are passed to the print facility that makes your item. For Australian orders that facility is in Australia; for orders placed elsewhere it will usually be in that region.

Before disclosing your information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through the contractual terms in each provider's agreement with us.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies for essential site function, analytics, and advertising.

We use the Meta Pixel. It records actions you take on our site — pages viewed, items added to cart, purchases — and reports them to Meta so we can measure our advertising and show relevant ads. You can control this in your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

You can decline non-essential cookies via the banner on our site, or block them in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may break checkout.

7. How long we keep it

Order and transaction records: seven years, as required by Australian tax law.

Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.

Analytics data: as set by Google's and Meta's own retention periods.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures, and our platform and payment providers are PCI-DSS compliant. No internet transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach occurs that's likely to cause you serious harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate or out of date
  • Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it
  • Stop sending you marketing

Email serviceteam@techtees.co. We'll respond within 30 days and won't charge you for access requests.

10. Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email serviceteam@techtees.co with "Privacy Complaint" in the subject. We'll acknowledge within 5 business days and respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

11. Children

Our site isn't intended for people under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll remove them.

12. Third-party sites

We link to other websites. We're not responsible for their privacy practices — read their policies before sharing anything.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes appear here with a new effective date. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders.
